Anyone know how much a PS3 weighs, includling controllers, plug and all that stuff?

I'm heading to America in October, and was thinking of picking one up over there as they are cheaper, but i'd need to be sure of the weight (when out of the box) so that when i put it in my bag it doesn't put me over the weight limits for the flight.

    Cheers.

The console itself is around 5 KG I believe, but the size would probably be more of an issue..

I thought the standard was 20kg. Thats what its been on all flights i've been on, only in europe though.

When I brought the Japanese one back it was too big to fit in the overhead locker of the plane

Indeed, size would be more of a concern I think. Too big to bring on as hand luggage, but would you feel OK putting it in a bag you check in? I wouldn't.

Allowed weight probably depends on the airline, but the limit from here to the US is higher than flights within Europe (Aerlingus page says 36kgs max per person on economy flights to USA for check-in luggage)

I brought mine on as hand luggage when I came back from the states in February.I took it out of the box and took the console on the plane with me,flattened the box and put all the leads and controller in my check in bag.The Console weighs 6kg so thats all you will be allowed on with.
