Could anyone help me out? I keep on getting the 'Windows cannot read this disc. The disc may be corrupted, or it could be using a format not compatible with Windows' message, but I know this disc works cause I've watched on another computer and a DVD player... There is nothing wrong with the disc, so how do I fix it? Seriously confused please help.

Have you tried playing a different disk in the drive?

Do you have a DVD reader on your laptop?

    Are there any loose connections?

Do you have the correct software?

Are the disk and the drive clean?

What type/make of DVD of drive is in your laptop ? , go to control panel , device manager , CD /DVD drive and click on that , post what type of drive it is and check if that drive is compatible with that disc type.
    Then take it from there.

It is possible that its not compatible , for instance my last DVD writer was not compatible with 16 speed discs , it would read any other type , but not 16 speed , it could be something like that.

What version of Windows was the DVD created on and by what software? Perhaps it's an open DVD. Don't DVD-Rs have to be finalised/closed after burning?
