Good deal from Meteor. Sagem My411x is €89 with free bluetooth headset, up to €80 free call credit and free delivery: https://onlinestore.meteor.ie/products/payasyougo_details.asp?id=143

You can sign up on the web site for cheaper roaming. Alternatively freetext the word TRAVEL to 50104, the main benefit is you're not charged to receive calls in the North or the UK while on T-Mobile.

I just discovered this phone is also available as an upgrade for existing Meteor customers with €90 free call credit. You just re-register online for the extra free credit. You must be on the Meteor network at least 90 days. :)

Update: seems there may be a catch after all. :(
Free call credit - Upgrade customers
Up to €90: Get €10 on registration or €30 if you register online, plus €10 for each of the following 6 months starting on the month after you register. Monthly blocks of €10 credit are dependent on top up.

far as i know that is a mistake on their site as you do not have to top-up to recieve the free credit with meteor

So, do I need any certain things when getting the upgrade? BEcause, I'm not sure I have the box anymore, ubt I've had my SIM for a few years now, and I'm sure that is what they work off of.

What do I do? Go into the shop and ask for the upgrade?

Do it online if you can - more credit that way.

I was thinking in terms of receipts etc.

In any event, is that the best phone available [under €100]? Or is there a better one, most of the specs are very vague...

You are a current customer with an active SIM - that should be all you need?

You can buy the upgrade online: https://onlinestore.meteor.ie/products/upgrades_details.asp?id=144 It might be a good idea to clarify exactly how the free credit's applied and what tops up are needed to get it, if any. You can phone Meteor from your phone for free on 1905.

Bear in mind November/December are just around the corner, and thats when all the mobile companies have the best PAYG mobile offers available (i.e €120 or more free credit, better phones at cheaper prices, etc....) So if you can wait until then you might get even better value. ;)

you will also have to ask in store exactly how much credit cos some phones have €80 while others only offer online €20 plus €10. and sagem is good but meteor also have around 6 other similar priced phones including sonyericsson w200i with 128mb memory card, check their site!:) and check out gsmarena for better specs

It's a nice looking phone and for that price with a BT headset its good value, but spec wise it's very basic, VGA camera, etc.
