Recently won an Item on Ebay, the seller stated the Item was original but it looks like its a good fake from china (well it was posted from china) He stated the Item location was in Ireland, when I asked for postage costs to Dublin,he said it was the same postage because the Item was from the Uk.....Then I get a package from China....

    Not good....

Now the Item works and plays fine, but I feel somewhat cheated as it did state on his Ebay page the Item was Original and not to be fooled into buying fakes:rolleyes:

Would I have a case to retrieve full funds back,or put it down to a learning curve.

You can file a dispute since the goods are "significantly not as described", or fakes. You will however be responsible for the return post costs (which you will need to do by registered post).

Same thing happened me a while back with an Oz box set. Was advertised as legit and genuine and from the UK, but what arrived was a cheap knockoff, opened (not new) and came from HK. I returned it but was out €10 due to the return cost. I did get the satisfaction of leaving negative feedback for the seller though.

Post the link, we can let you know what to look out for in future.

I presume most people selling large mounts of dvds will be selling fakes.

Location can be determined in feedback.

I have knowingly bought fakes on ebay. Many charge high post, and low item price- this not only avoids ebay fees but many will not refund the post fee if returned so you only get back a few$.

How much was it, might only be worth the refund on principal, more than your time is worth.
