Hmmm.. I really like the second one - the light's really nice... Has some sort of mystical or eerie quality I can't put my finger on...

The 2nd one has a Christmassy feel to it.
    I like it!

O'Conneil street will be very interesting the night using f/22 and long time exposur.
anyway good shots. The last could be interresting with a blue sky but this last days it's not possible !

Love number two, the spike seems to be lit from the left hand side and there is a nice brightness at the end of O'Connell Street. Lights in the windows on the right help too.

thanks all -- i managed to shoot the second one with no pod aide , just my not so steady hands , and darkness was falling -- unfortunatly the hands were not so stable on no. 1 , wish it was crisper , as i like the old mohicans , tried sharpening in ps , but i guess it can't perform miracles. It was difficult to shoot as there was a lot of movement around rush hour on O'Connell street.

maybe using B pose, f/22 (or more) and decrease exposure to -3 with low ISO you can have a long time exposure (so use a tripod) and so people will not appear on picture.

there were a few people fairly out of it along the boardwalk of the liffey -- this gives nothing away , not sure what I make of it , but i see something in it
