Burn Notice [US - Spoilers]

Michael Weston, a spy, receives a "burn notice" from work. His job does not fire people; rather, they issue a burn notice to let the agent know their services are no longer required.

Michael does not know what happened to cause this change of events in his life. Michael returns to his roots in Miami, taking on local cases for people the police cannot help...

New show that started a few weeks ago on USA. I'm really enjoying it... great cast -- Bruce Campbell, Sharon Gless, Gabrielle Anwar (despite her horrible Irish accent), and a really fun story and script. You'll laugh out loud alot...

    Anyone else watching it??

Edit: I have to say, although the show is great, one thing that is bugging the sh*t out of me is the overuse of the freeze frame. Once or twice in a show is nice for dramatic effect, but 3 or 4 times per action scene? Come on..

It got off to a good start imo. I just hope they can keep it alive. Can you see it lasting for a full season?

Saw the first episode and didn't think it was great. Seemed a bit like the Equalizer mixed with a bit of MacGyver and Diagnosis Murder thrown in.

Has potential if it finds its feet though

I have seen the first three and it's average from what I have seen. Yes there's McGuyver at work and a touch of Magnum,
especially the sidekick - chain and loud shirt to boot. Good to see that they have already extricated themselves from Gabrielle Anwar's atrocious Irish accent, and she now has a passable American one.
Not sure if this will have the legs as plot lines are a bit on the weak side so far. Yet reports Stateside suggest people have continued to watch it.
The voice-over and the use of freeze frames is annoying at times and the scripts are a bit hackneyed but
it rolls along at a decent enough pace. It strikes me as more of a 6 or a 13 part miniseries than a multi-season phenomenon and for these wet summer days it may just be watchable.
