Thought he would of got off scot free with a sob story with the state of the justice system these days.

Well a hoax in an airport is pretty serious, money could be lost, not like something trivial where a custodial sentence would be inappropriate like rape or persistent financial corruption in government.

These are exactly my thoughts on this.

humbert is making what might be called a specious arguement. The crimes cannot be compared nor thier custodial sentences (or not as in the cases humbert has chosen to draw parallel with) The ashole got what he deserved, had he been shot no-one would have complained too loudly.

    Mike.

"Allah Akbar", "clear the airport" and "I have a bomb and I'm going to set it off". He warned that people had five seconds to get out or it was going to blow.

You cant go doing stuff like that these days without paying a hefty price. He's lucky he wasnt shot dead by an armed guard ffs.

humbert is being grumpy and sarcastic. He may well deserve his punishment but the shocking inconsistencies in the 'justice' system make it difficult to respect.

True, if he did this in the US, I can easily imagine he'd be shot on the spot.

    Like this guy:

Today, a 44-year-old man was shot to death by air marshals after saying he had a bomb, CNN News reported. Flight 924 was traveling from Medellin, Colombia to Orlando, Florida and on stopover in Miami, when the disturbance broke out. According to reports, the man got into a confrontation on the boarding bridge with air marshals, after he announced that there was a bomb in his carry-on bag.

The marshals ordered the man to get on the ground and when the U.S. passenger failed to do so, he was apparently shot and killed as he reached into the bag.

So when are they getting around to giving Bertie 3 years for all the "loans" and such he accepted, even making him give it all back would be a start... The fact that poor auld Bert gets caught taking more money than he should be and so they up the amount he's allowed take says it all about our government...

Has Bertie been found guilt in a court of law of doing so? If not then you are a bit ahead of yourself. His just deserts could still come.

huh strange, the story at the time it seemed like it was just some nut looking for attention not somebody actually motivated by world issues, misplaced or otherwise.

seems similar to the david hicks guy... coming at it through kosovo muslims

there isn't very much on this guy at all on the web usually jihad watch blogs would be all over people like this little greens footballs or something similar.

very little reportage on this, not a good thing

I havent heard of it until now. What a fool. If you are going to pull something stupid at airports at least try to smuggle drugs or something.
