Cd-rom/ dvd drive seems to be gone kapoot on my laptop just wondering if anyone here could recomend best place for good cheap external version.

Don't see any external CD/DVD ROM drives, but Komplett.ie have some external DVD RW drives that would probably do the trick for you starting at 59 europeans.Link here.
