    Hi,
Myself and a friend are doing up a sunn p bass copy he's had lying around his house for a while. The scratch plate, the pickups and pots all have to be replaced. I got seymour duncan passive quarter pounder pickups http://www.seymourduncan.com/products/bassesdescr.shtml#QuarterPound153forPBassreg , (i got the spb3 pickups) and a cheap scratch plate from thomann, but im not sure what power pots to get 250k or 500k. Im fairly lost when it comes to this stuff so if anyone has any advice they can give me cheers.

You can use two 250K pots for Vol & Tone.

If you want a brighter tone you can use a 500k for Volume and a 250k for tone.

Theres no 'correct' way, but you should probably go for a linear taper tone pot, and audio (logarithmic) taper volume. Thomann should give the taper in the specs.

Cheers for the quick replies guys. I do want a brighter tone so i'll go for the 500k for the volume. You've lost me with the quote above though.
