    Hi All,

Great news, for those who don't already know, the GBPT (Great British Poker Tour) is coming to Leeds!

I have put all the information below:

    1. Gala Casino's are running the event, and are part of the Gala Coral Group and has players coming from both online and offline.

    2. This is a commercial event to find the best Poker player in Great Britain.

    3. GBPT Leeds is taking place on 18th and 19th August 2007! (Main event) They also have smaller events (£100 and £200 freezeouts) during the week leading up to the main event.

    4. Registration has started at Leeds, but you can also register through any other Gala Casino. The registration will end 30 minutes before the start of the event, which is 2.30PM on the Saturday. The other stops on the tour have sold out, and there is no reason to think this one won't wither so get in quick! :D

    5. All players will have to become a member of the Casino, and therefore photographic Identification and proof of address are needed.

    6. There are a total of 110 seats available for the main event.

    7. The event will be a No Limit Texas Hold'em freezeout.

    8. The buy-in is £500 + £50, and there are no re-buys.

    9. The resgistration is the £50 in the above split.

    10. 100% of all buy-ins (the £500 part) goes to the prize pool.

    11. Gala are ADDING £5,000 into the prize pool therefore the estimated prize pool will be £60,000!

    12. There are no re-buys.

    13. All players will start with 10,000 starting chips.

    14. Not in this event!

    15. Blinds levels are on a 60 minute clock.

    16. The payout structure goes down to 10 places. The winner will get a seat in the GBPT Grand Final in November. There are also bonus seats for 2nd and 3rd into another GBPT event.

    17. All tables will be dealer dealt, and Gala have selected the best dealers throughout their Casino estate therefore you can expect the highest quality.

    18. There is a documented list of rules that can be found on the GBPT website (www.gbpokertour.com)

    19. There is a tournament director, who will deal with all disputes. Gala also have Thomas Kremser as their feature Tournament Director, and for the final TV table. (Programs being made by Presentable.)

    20. All disputes that cannot be dealt with directly by the dealer will be dealt with by the tournament director. He will have the final say on all disputes.

I hope too see some of you at the event! Any questions about this please send me a PM.

    Many thanks
    Slim Shandy

The bonus seats are added to the prize pool, therefore the winner will get about £20,000 and a seat into the Grand final.

I know the SE are running a satellite to the Newcastle leg tonight. €100+10 rebuy. Buy-in for Newcastle is £1,000. Prolly have 3 or 4 seats going. Package is worth €2500 and cash can be taken.

It would be poetic justice if an Irish player was crowned best GB player ;)
