    Hello all,

I am posting this thread to obtain genuine feedback from players who have played our weekly DUBLIN pub tournaments. We have put alot of effort into building these games and would like to see how our customers feel about our events.

Please do not post unless you have attended and experienced one of our PokerEvents DUBLIN pub tournaments! And please name the Venue you played in!

    Thanks

    Stephen

    Hi Flash,

There are a number of things going on currently going, Mark is responsible for the website and all which goes with that. I know for a fact that he is up to his eyes at the moment and probably hasn't got around to the results. I will contact him tomorrow and ask him to update the results.

As for the forum, people who do not already have accounts will need to email mark@pokerevents.ie to register an account, he will set it up for you.

The Dublin Pub League Leader board is available on the Forum which is only awaiting a few northside tournament results. The Final Prizepool is correct at over 4000Euro

I play regularly in your Bradys game in Shankill and McKennas in Dun Laoghaire. Never any complaints. Always very enjoyable and the staff are spot on. The odd grumble from players who have had rulings go against them(which is to be expected i suppose) but on each occasion that I witnessed the ruling was fair and correct.

    Hi Valhalla,

Thanks for your reply! Could you please compare the two venues as Bradys is a €50 + €10 Double Chance FreezeOut which is dealer dealt and McKennas is a €45+€5 Double Chance FreezeOut self deal. We are considering introducing Dealers to McKennas, how would you feel about that?

    * Mods: Do I need to post full details for each tournament mentioned above?

Give the generic details of typical blind levels+times for your pub tournament, rebuy/freezeout, how prize pool will be divided, dealers, etc.

Then just give locations, start times for each one. Should cover it.

This is what I wrote the last time I played a Pokerevents Tourney, It was the one in Bradys before dealers were introduced.

With 9 players left the blinds were 1,000/2,000.

Total chips in play - 150,000
    Average - 16,666

    so thats 8.3 BB's

    Very dissapointed with this event.

    1. 15 min levels was poor and could easily have been 20

    2. the whole set up was bad with terrible tables and chips.

im sorry PE but i wont be back nor will the 3 guys that came with me.

    Hi Eoghan104

I remember the post, We have made changes since then, We have a Kidney table there at the moment and are acquiring another few in the next few weeks. The round tables have been replaced with the longer oval tables which are more confortable to play on.

We are currently using the same chips but in the next month or so we should have new sets of brand new chips.

Sean starts the tournament with 20 Minute blinds up to the the break (1st five levels) and there after reduces them to 15 minutes as the tournament has to be finished by closing time. (I do not want to misadvertise it as a 20 minute clock) Aslo the stack has been increased to 6500 total stack.

With the introduction of dealers the hand rate is doubled therefore the tournament does not turn into such a short stack tournament.

The numbers are now also constantly hitting 30+ players

Changes have been made and will continue to be.

Thanks for you feedback, and I hope you will consider playing again. It's on tonight at 7.30pm

    Stephen

That all sounds very good and fair play for making those changes. Ill make it down there again some time soon to check it out.

I usually play the Bradys game and find it well run
with a friendly bunch of players.
Sean and gang run it smoothly and fairly.
It's much improved now it's not self deal,
    with much more play involved.
Would prefer a freezeout rather than DC but then
you would probably get less players.
Would prefer the bigger tables alright to avoid the
    odd stray Heineken!:)
