MPEG to MP3

Im looking for a bit of help with this.. Recently I moved all my mp3's from my computer to my girlfriends laptop. When I done this I noticed that a 'nokia pc suite' program had changed them into a differant format. I thought this would just change back but it hasnt. Now the're all listed as MPEG. How can I change them back?
