I tried saving a video off youtube as .flv and that works fine. Then i converted it to so my Zen would play it and transferred to my player. My player says that it can not play a video of that bit rate, so when converting, what bit rate will I convert too? Anybody got stuff off youtube working?

    Thanks,

You can't expect the Zen Vision M to play FLV files - they're Flash video files.

Use a site like http://vixy.net/ to convert the YouTube video first. AVI (DivX + MP3) - the default option - will do nicely.

Then put the downloaded (AVI) file on the Zen Vision M and it should work fine.

I'll try that cheers. I was converting to avi as I did not expect the player to play .FLV, it just complained about the bit rate, I'll give this a try.

    Get Super
I use it for converting youtube videos which I've downloaded with
Firefox - you've a choice of several plugins for Firefox which will
allow you to downloaded embedded flv.

Thanks, I'll try that too, downloaded it. I use FF to DL videos also.

Only bad part is your Zen will show how poorly encoded/low bitrate
    the yourtube videos are.

I suppose I'll have a look and see are they even worth the bother of transferring, as they are perfect on my computer already.

Thanks, super is great and video looks perfect. I just set it to 30 fps and max bitrate.
