just gone, big Stuey outkicked me on the bubble.

60 runners, lots of familiar faces, great craic except for a couple of head the balls who believed themselves to be playing the WSOP but then I guess thats always the way.

rather well run by some gentleman who i believe has done this kind of thing before.

will play there again if i get the time off.

2500 prize pool for a twenty euro game with 10 euro rebuys? not bad at all.
hadda won that last hand i woulda coulda shoulda.... :(

    What's the structure like?

  • Users Awaiting Email Confirmation Posts: 3,129 ✭✭✭Samson

    20 min blinds, 1500 starting stack, 1500 for each re-buy, 2500 for top-up.

I think the levels went like this:

    25/50
    50/100
    75/150
    100/200
    200/400
    300/600
    400/800
    500/1000

Can't remember after that, as I was gone and just half listening whilst playing a "SNG".

This going to be on every sunday from now on?
    SNG = cash games?

  • Users Awaiting Email Confirmation Posts: 3,129 ✭✭✭Samson

    Certainly every Sunday in July.
Luke and Christy mentioned that they may continue running it after that.

SNG = "Sit n Go" or single table tournament. Once there's enough players to fill a table the game starts.
€20.00 SNGs were running for anyone who was knocked out of the tournament, but had not gotten enough of a poker fix for the night.

    Right,
so im heading home last night after curves class (don't ask all you need to know is I was in pain), then had to head out to malahide to assemble a f**kin table (again please god don't ask) so myself and Martin are on way back having a heated debate on why the F**k we are still in this country, will it every stop raining and having a bet on how many roman gypsies are living on the M50 Ballymun exit roundabout when suddenly we hear from the Radio "Poker tournament on in the Bar code and run by the man himself the Jack Dolan Banana Luke Ivory"

    It makes sense now.

Hi Jay, How's your American tour going? Due to DeV's new LAG style of reporting its hard to keep track of evryone in Vegas.:D
I played this one last Sunday, very good fun. 50+ runners and a final five worthy of any WSOP ME.
The last five were Big Stewie, Daisy, Kevin Farrelly, Macker and Christy Smith. Thats 2 past IO champions. I got knocked out in 7th by the eventual winner, Stewie, but a night worthy of high praise for Barcode and the legendry organiser, Mr.Jack Dolan Banana, himself.

Back in Dublin this morning Paul. My main event was an absolute complete utter disaster. Got knocked out after the dinner break on day 1c. I ll post a report on it.

Rest of trip was fantastic except for loss of wifes bag by Delta.

Back on topic would love to give this a spin but sunday is awkward for me.

i don't think i can support Luke's game today but if you're looking for a 20 euro game with 10 euro rebuys and free coffee and food then go down to barcode in clontarf. the game kicks off about 6.30pm

The tourney will be on in Barcode every Sunday @ 6pm for the months of July and August. The tourney is run by the ONE AND ONLY LUKE JACK DOLAN BANANA IVORY. The crowd is getting bigger each week, there is a great athmosphere, lots of laughter and luke even sings a song now and again.
Its advertised on Q102 radio station on the whats on in Dublin section.
