    hi lads

heres what i want to do:

sync my entourage with microsoft exchange, i currently have version 10 of entourage.

can it be done and how can i do it?
not really experienced with stuff so as much help as possible is welcome!

my exchange server is live.mail2web.com and i use this to get push email to my p990i.

the whole reason for doing this is the fact i cant sync so p990i with mac so kinda have to go the long way round eg:
    1)sync p990i to exchange
    2)plan: sync exhange with entourage
3)sync isync wiht entourage (via e2sync)

    i only do basic pim so addresses,todo and calender..im just a student!!:D

    thanks in advance

    damo

For this, you'll get a better (more educated) response from http://forums.macrumors.com/.

"more informed" might have sounded nicer!! hehe :D

Agreed though, best bet would be dedicated Mac forums for something that specific. I read this thread last night and was surprised to learn that there isnt any 3rd party app for this yet (as alot of devices now have 3rd party sync apps for os x)

    thanks for replies lads,

i was playing around the mail.app and found it accepts exchange email (as opposed to pop3 and imap) so it may sync contacts aswell as calender on top of email.
Cant seem to get it to work though..i think i have the wrong mail2web acccount..frustrating!!

    @failsafe

Thats the setup i have already but my aim is to sync with mac

    regards
    damo

edit: got it working but seems to only sync email and calender..hmmm..getting there, anybody else use an exchange account on apple mail app?

edit again: got syncing contacts now..phew thought i had to use the dreaded entourage!!
if anybody else interested..here ya go : http://kb.iu.edu/data/anht.html ..quite handy, syncs every hour!

really?? I was always able to just set up regular exchange accounts. Kinda crap that you have to pay :(

Yeah I sync my contacts. But I use 'Missing Sync' with my Blackberry for that (3rd party app).

I have an exchange account setup for my Staff mail on a University system and also an old one for a work account that I dont use much anymore. Both were straight forward to setup in Mail, no hassle at all.

I wasnt a great fan of Mail for a while there because it used to do some fierce queer stuff on me, so I switched to Thunderbird... back on Mail now though cos Thunderbird+exchange a/c is a no no.

If I didnt have an exchange a/c setup I'd stick to Thunderbird though!
