    a friend has asked me again about this service, they had to change tcp/ip settings in order to get an internet connection on their laptop from work.

    the reason was because NWE used manual settings to get the laptop working..i thought thats what DHCP was for, no?

    well, now since returning home from work, the laptop needs to be configured again.
    the ip address,net mask and gateway for NWE were saved beforehand, and are now entered back into the configuration, however it still won't work.

    any ideas?

    disable & re-enable interface when changing settings or reboot.
