Ok Number 1- does installing linux benifit the use of your PS3 and how?? also Is there any way of increasing the speed of the internet on the PS3 , i have a 2mb line but on the PS3 it is really really slow

I dont know anything about Linux but the PS3 browser is very slow. I dont think that theres anything you can do to speed it up.

Unless you have something specific you want to do with linux its a waste of time. Linux is totally different to windows and unless you know what your doing it will be a waste of your time. Windows programmes wont work on it either.

On the upside their is a programme you can get that will turn your ps3 into something similar to sky plus where you can pause live tv and what not but it costs about EUR 200.
