Hey!
Myself and three other lads are doing a years travel around the world. 7 months of this is going to be spent in Australia so I was just wondering if anyone had any good ideas on where to live in the major cities, particularly in Cairns. We're looking for a place with a good buzz and plenty of young people. Cairns seems to be the preferred choice at the mo because it seems to be real hot but it also seems pretty small. Any advice would be great. Thanks!

Cairns is a backpackers heaven, if you want a job be prepared to work ****ty jobs for **** all as its a biggish village town type of place, having said that i loved it, the barrier reef is on your doorstep amongst a lot of other things. You should go there on their low season, it will still be damn hot but the locals tell me their summer is unbearable 40C +, have a ball, i know i did;)
