Anyone tried jUploadr?

I downloaded it today, it's rather nice, when you can do the descriptions, tagging and privacy settings for each picture before you hit the 'upload' button. And, it has an option to throttle the bandwidth for uploading so your other half won't moan at you when their online gaming gets all jumpy :p

    http://sourceforge.net/projects/juploadr/

You can use it for zoomr too, apparently.

Looks interesting, Must give it a try, though the day I see my better half playing a computer game is the day I know I'm not long for this world.

it's all about priority tbh.. uploading photos is so much more important that playing computer games. If anything I'd throttle the bandwidth for the game, leaving more capacity for your precious uploads.

Either that or stump up for FTTH

ive been using flickr uploader with a few months, same thing - desktop app, can set tags, add to set, create a new set and set priacy settings all before upload. Only started uploading from home since i started using it...can just kick it off in the background and let it trudge away...you can just right click in explorer and then send any image to flickr too..

Yup I was using the flickr uploadr before, but once I did the upload I then had to go and add all the descriptions actually on the site. With this I can do all the descriptions before kicking off the upload, and also set different privacy settings per image, rather than just for the entire set I'm uploading. Just gives that wee bit more control.

Sounds very handy. Must give it a go when I get home.

Use juploadr on the PC but Flickr Uploadr for the Mac cos its MUCH nicer than the windows version. Gives you way more control. Prefer it to juploadr. Uploadr for Mac allows you to set titles, descriptions, tages, privacy, add to sets, size etc before you upload... nicer interface than the windows version too.

yeah I am using flickr uploadr a lot, it's great. U can assign images to sets prior to uploading and save time arranging your sets at a later date.

The more examples of this type of thing I hear about the more I think that these programmers are just young nerds who fell into the Steve Jobs hype as kids and are afraid to go near a PC or are too lazy to learn how to code properly for it.

Must have a look. Flickr Uploader doesn't like my desktop for some reason.

Been trying to order a Pro account all day. I only realised yesterday with the free acount the maximum file size you have access to is pretty small. Having issues with credit cards though. Grrr....

Psh, why would ya bother when os x is just a better platform anyway? Even properly coded software goes ape **** on windows because of whatever exploit is being used on whatever version of windows this week.

After using my mac solidly since I got it I'm now afraid to turn on my pc at home. I've forgotten what the "blue screen of death" and programs crashing actually look like. I'd also agree that the flickr uploadr for mac is distinctly nicer than the windows version..

Because I can't afford one ;) I wouldn't mind getting a Mac laptop at some stage. A good one. Are the screens good enough to use exclusively for image processing?
