Have you checked the tracking number you got from them on the hong kong post website and anpost.ie? Have you rang the sorting office?

IF Hk post says the item has been delivered that means they dont have it, its now in customs or with speedpost/local courier. HKpost do not operate here:D

go to www.anpost.ie, click "track item" and type in the tracking number Keith from RSOV would have sent you. You'll be able to see if it's in Ireland yet and if it is, whether it's been delivered or not.

Tried that for an item, no luck, doesnt work, left HK 8 days ago, should at least be in the country by now.

You'd be surprised. My pistol didn't turn up on anpost.ie till the day it was delivered. If an attempted delivery was made to his house then it would say it on anpost.ie

8 days is nothing to be worried about. Its annoying but it's not freak out time.

Well on saturday we're all gone for 3 weeks, and my bro will be pissed IF they do return it to its origin. That would cost another 50 quid to re ship it! Customs probably have it...*grumbles

I am waiting on an an AEG also as well this morning,
It went from Hong Kong to India in one day and this morning
(but from uncompany) says its in Shannon Airport at the moment
since 5:30 this morning. So Hopefully I will get an updated status
sometime today that will indicate if its in Customs (Dont know where
the local customs place is) or if its on route to be delivered.

    UPDATE:
    SHANNON,
    06/07/2007 7:52 IN-TRANSIT SCAN
    06/07/2007 7:51 IMPORT SCAN
    06/07/2007 5:33

Hope it arrives before Noon as there will be nobody at home after that
time!!! Normally I would get it delivered to work
but not something Gun Shaped! Id be fired!!!!

    Mine is with UPS.
After using the an.post tracking system its pretty crap. I have
had items in my hand delivered and the next day an post
tracking is still showing old info like still in transit etc
not that you would care when you get your goodies
    but annoying all the same.

I always get tense when waiting for a package when I am
in work and not at home knowing its in Ireland someplace
but not knowing when exactly it will arrive.

    ~B

the only thing wors than waiting is when you get home and a delivery advice slip is left in your letter box on a friday, have to wait all weekend to play with your AEG is never fun

If the postmen in your sorting office are half decent you can go up after hours and they will proably give it to you. Thats what I did with my sr16.

True...although they officially close at 5pm, they are normally in the office until 8-9pm and if you are really nice to them on the phone, they're usually willing to let you collect it.

3 weeks is quite a long time for delivery. No doubt customs played a big part in the delay as usual. Don't be so concerned about the An Post tracking system not showing the item. It's quite possibly the slowest post office tracking site in history. The item can be delivered before it even appears on the site.

Well everything goes through customs. Doesn't mean you are gonna be hit with taxes. Though I'm 3 for 3 for tax on my orders (customs obviously don't like me)
