Don't miss BBC 4 at midnight tomorrow (Friday/Saturday), the story centres round a classic car Treasure Hunt, lots of lovely cars from the 20 to the 60s and its fun plot as well. I like the blonde Steed gets landed with as his navigator! He was lucky he reach the final credits alive.

    LOL

I'm addicted to a UK-Drama show at the minute called "New Tricks" - set in current day about these geriatric detectives investigating unsolved crimes from the '80s.

The character played by Dennis Waterman, he of "Minder" fame, drives a green Triumph Stag. That was enough to get me recording & watching it.

Always watch New Tricks me. Is'nt it amazing how so many TV cops have a distinctive old car? Not at all appropriate for keeping a low profile!

Watched that episode of The Avengers last night - great stuff!

I'd forgotten what a fun show that was. The cars were fab, even though that E-type met a sorry end!

It was great on New Tricks a few months back. George Cole appeared with Dennis Waterman. First time since Minder ended in '89.

Also shows like the Sweeney have a great selection of old Granadas/Cortinas/Jags, various BL 70s stuff starring. Fans of the Sweeney have a meet up in london maybe twice a year and ride around in old Consels/Granada Mk1's and Capris. Never went to it but could be a good day out.
