    Hi All,

Had head gasket repalced in wife punto few months ago, machanic told us not to worry bout the engine general fault light that then lit, ( must have triggered on the head removal )

anyone know how to disable this - or is it a trip to fiat ?

    Loz

I have a punto and this light comes on every so often. Normally when it rains! It causes the engine to chug a little but usually goes away after a few minutes.

If the car is running ok you could probably ignore it.

Don't know about Fiats but this problem can be rectified in older VAG group cars by disconecting the battery for 5 minutes.

Make sure you have any radio codes etc. If it comes back on then it generally means there is an actual problem rather than just the light.
