    hey
Looking for some feedback on two lake reflection shots taken recently...
Taken on Rossroe Lake. County Clare, near Sixmilebridge.

Also, please feel free to have a look around on my flickr and any advice would be welcome..
    Thanks for looking..

Like the 2nd one more than the first because of the bit of branch in the top right of the 1st one.

Bit more saturation and contrast would suit my tastes, good material to start with though!

Of the two of them, I prefer the second, however, I would crop the rhs slightly just to get rid of that tiny little bit of branch that is poking in.

The other comment I'd have about both of them is that I find them both a bit "edge of bigger shot" because you have the start of the trees to the left but they don't end to the right. I'd probably have gone more central on the trees without a build up on them either left or right.

Reflections are gorgeous though. Really do like.

Nice work! My preference would be the second one also. I would crop/clone out the stray branches on the top right hand side. They're a little distracting. I would have a look at boosting the saturation of the warm yellow/golds on the horizon too - it might contract nicely with the cooler blues of the foreground.
With the first one I find the reeds in the foreground don't add to it - I much prefer how you have composed them in the second shot where you can see their 'heads'.

i like the 2nd one more, but i would photoshop the branch from the top right corner out of the top one

wow great to get so much feedback already.. Looks like the 2nd is coming out well on top..
    Thanks for all the comments
@hugh - Yup it hasnt been near photoshop at all so getting rid of the branch is a priority. Any hints on how to improve saturation & contrast?
@ calina, I was pretty limited by the shots I could take as was surrounded on either sides by the trees you can see poking into the shots. This was the only spot to get some type of clear shot.
@latchiko - cheers, as above, any idea on the improving the saturation?
@steady - yup gotta clone it or crop is.. Gotta get it into PS.

Just a cheeky thought, if anyone would like to have a crack at either of these in PS, work away, would love to see what could be done with it..

Do you have access to Photoshop? If so, I'd suggest using a Hue/Saturation adjustment layer or you could just run Image->Adjusmtments->Hue/Saturation on it to see how it turns out.
If you use a different app for editing, there's bound to be a way of adjusting saturation. If nothing is obvious, hit the help button on your app and enter "saturation".

I actually prefer the first one. The foreground is better. I would have composed it with more of the branches in it:eek: I think it gives a sense of place with regards to where you were standing when you took it. More branch could help lead the eye towards the trees on the far shore.
In the second one, the small bit of branch is distracting and would be better cloned out.
They must have taken back in April. Nice sky and silhouettes.
