Looking for somewhere to stay for a few days in CO Donegal for my wife myself and 17 yr old daughter. Anything reasonable guest house or hotel?

Don't want to be out in the country so something in a village or town with a few nice pubs with maybe a bit of the old irish music even would be nice?

You are probably better posting this in the North West forum or in the new Donegal sub forum.

We will do our best to oblige :)

Donegal is a big county. What area are you looking at?

If you try Donegal town you can't go too far wrong with these apartments

    http://www.ashwooddonegal.com/

I stayed there earlier this year. They are close enough to walk to town and are next to a hotel with leisure complex. You get free use of the hotel leisure facilities. They are very reasonably priced and are really clean and well equipped.
Donegal itself has all you need in Restaurants and Pubs. Plus it's close to lots of lovely beaches etc.

Have a good time where ever you end up.

pretty good value only two hotels i'd recommend in donegal town see the online booking.

depends where you want to go seems to be a lot of tourists around at the mo dont know how many deals to be had

guest houses near the town dont seem to be any cheaper than hotels

    but have look here

theres a room search on http://www.donegaltown.ie/

If you're looking at Inishowen, Westbrook House in Buncrana is lovely, very quiet, reasonably close to the town (about 10 minutes walk), and with great riverside/coastal walks

if its old irish music your after, then the Gaeltacht region of Gweedore (Gaoth Dobhair) would be the place to go, try
An Chúirt or the Ostan Gweedore/

Close to Dungloe, Glenveigh National Park and Errigal mountain
Also there is a golf course and ferries to Tory Island.

Bars with music are Leo's it is the family pub owned by the parents of Enya and clanad.

Téac Hudí Beag's, This bar is famous for the Traditional music sessions it hosts
