Thats real nice Patricide. The Ashdown has a certain, dare I say Vintage :p look to it, but still modern at the same time. Of course a sound demo would go down well. :)

Will do but i cant get a speakon cable here in tralee :O , the guy in the guitarshop here musta been high or somthing cause he said some **** about needing the ohms and **** which i dont believe for a second, all speakon cables are the same iirc.

Looks like im gonna have to order one of the net and wait a week or 2 to play it :( most frustrating thing EVER.

I have 2 1/4 inch to speakon cables and 2 speakon to speakon cables. I'm in Dublin/Wicklow but if you drove up you could have 1 for a tenner ;)

The speakon cable is a regular speaker cable, just the plug at the end is different. Does it not have one 1/4" speaker output and one speakon? It should be more than happy just running one cab until you get a speakon.

Tell me, what differentiates the Klystron from the ABM heads? It seems to share a lot of the same design and features.

No it just has 2 speakons, its really annoying, im not gonna try anything dodgey with it and im gonna wait till i get the proper cables. Might take one from the youth center when im playing a gig tomorro.

Yea they do share a LOAD of design features, They just refined the sound on it, added in a free footswitch, made it more aesteticly pleasing and its now made in england as oposed to being made overseas. The klysron i think goes up to a higher wattage too. It also has an extra nob which is either for how prevelent the mid is or how much the compressor is in effect, im not sure because i havent played it yet :( , most frustrating purchase ever. Damm you ashdown supply a cable for it for christ sake.

Like I said, I have a speakon to speakon cable if you want it! And yes, it's a proper cable. I was kidding about the tenner too, if you can make it up you can have it.

Ok, turns out that the speakon jack was a new fangled speakon 1/4 inch hybird so i managed to test it on the stage tonight. Sounds goregeous, unfortunatly i only brought down my 1 X15 and the soundguy put it right next to the bassdrum so i couldnt hear anything(which wasnt good in bass dependant songs such as dig) and to make things worse the guitarist turned up way way too loud.

Still thoughThe amp itself sounds ****ing ACE. Ill post up soundclis when i amnt so lazy.
