I want to buy myself something nifty this week, laptop wise! I travel quiet a bit so it cant be huge but I do remote support and I will be using this as my principle machine for a certain amount of graphic design so it'll need plenty of RAM and at least 100Gb. I'd like it to have a card reader, built in webcam, it'd be nice if it had biometric security but not essential, and I'd go for a three year warranty if available. All suggestions greatly appreciated!

    :D
im sure you mean 1GB of ram or a 100gb hard drive!
have a look at this one

You can get it with one gig of RAM(standard), or 2, the one in the link has 2. you can never have enough RAM, espically when running photoshop. it has 3 year warrenty. A lot of HP laptops have built in web cameras, but HPs are pieces of sh1t, i have one:( !

Have a look at Acer or HP - a lot of them come with memory card readers.

Just got a HP nc6320 for work and am very happy with it. Card reader, Fingerprint authentication. Kevlar keyboard shield which prevents spillages from trashing your machine. Not the lightest laptop out there but should be very hard wearing.

 Now there is something every laptop should have. Is it bullet proof too? :)

Never take the dell upgrade especially on something like ram. This is where dell make their money. €170 for 2gigs of ram is a rip off and you can get it cheaper online and do it yourself relatively easily.

    Have you tried it. :D

    Thx for all the suggestions!
Firstly, of course I meant the hard drive for the 100Gb plus ;-)

Secondly, I just dont like Dell and your right they would saddle you for memory when the like of shop4memory.co.uk deliver dirt cheap ram for free!

I'm not a huge fan of the HP laptops either to be honest. I like some of the Acer stuff, some of the Toshiba and Samsung Laptops are nice also.

I just thought you might be aware of some deals at the moment!
