Plastic Open 2007

Hi all,

Wicklow Scale Modelling Club will hold our first "Plastic Open".
This event will be on on Monday 30th of July, starting at 6.30 till 9.00 PM at the Wicklow Sailing Club, South Quay, Wicklow Town

Kits will be on display to public during this time and part of this event is a small competition. So if you would like to bring your kits and take a part, you are more than welcome. There will be three categories: Juniors - all kits, Adaults - Military kits, Adaults - non military and sci fi models. All kits should be there around 6 o'clock to allow some time for registration and display arrangements.

Plastic Open is running in conjunction with photo competition as a part of Wicklow Regatta, so sorry for this time and date, but I think, that is better start with something smaller and, hopefuly, get bigger and better in the future...

Always wanted to go and see what other the Irish guys are capable of...
I`ll have to have a look and see if I got anything of good enough standard and bring it along...

Just only reminder for those who are thinking to drop downhere on Monday.

There are some changes in categories, will be only two:
-Juniors > 16yrs
-Seniors
It's not perfect, but it's hard to say how many kits will attend, so we are trying to make it simple.
There should be 3trophies in each category /public vote/ and one trophy for Best of Show kit /modellers vote/.

So hopefuly see you there

went to the competition tonight. Some really really nice models were there!
Also a few kids which is great to see that they still build models (to a high standard too)!!!
