very stange phenominin on i-poker?

anyone else come across this one....

it doesn't seem to be a connection issue as I had 3 other tables open at the time and all was well on them

story goes as follows...

I'm in a hand with JJ and I call from the bb. I call the c bet and then I hit a set on the turn and call his turn bet. board shows 6QJ10 so i'm afraid of AK. river brings a 6 to fill my house. now i really hope he has AK and I open push the river for a litle more than the pot.

now he lets the timer go right down to the end.... i think ohh no DP protection and then I realise it's no DP table

then his timer goes right to the end and I think ahh no I've frightened him off and then I wait..... and I wait..... for the pot to be pushed to me but nothing.... i wait and i wait...... nothing.... i look at my other tables and all is well and i can call etc etc on them....

I'm not exagerating when I say it froze for about 45 sec - 1 min. then it just jumped to the next hand with out pushing the pot to me.... when I see my balance I realise he must have called as I've doubled up... now i go and check the history to see what happened but it doesn't show the river action or his cards....

not complaining about the double up but this is not the first time this has happened to me. Was left waiting with the nuts another day and same thing happened but this time the hh was correct when i checked..

this happen anyone else?

Nothing surprises me with IPoker/GJP skin.

The worst poker client I have ever had the misfortune to play, support do not give a ****e, and the well, well documented errors remain.

I went from playing about 14000 hands a month there, to never playing on the site again overnight when it changed over.

I'd estimate that 80% of the tourney I register for I never actually get to sit at the tables. Logged on about an hour ago for first time in ages to dump off the last of the cash I have there. registered for 2 tourneys softare crashed at the start of the first one and after 37 mintues allowed me to log into the software again. played about 5 hands and it threw me out again.

Rang the trained monkey in BlueSquare 'support' (lol, the irony), "that must be very frustrating for you sir", "I will forward this to the poker executives and to IT to look into it", "is there anything else I can help you with?", and my personal favourite - "good luck at the tables sir if you do manage to log back in"

I think its unfair to specify GJP specifically, this is a network wide issue which is slowly being resolved.

if thats the case then I apologise for directing my wrath solely at GJP. However I play on Betfred and never had any issues at all.

Also after how ever many months its been going on its not acceptable to still have not nothing repaired. Surely correct pretesting would have shown this up.

I seen something similar mac a few times but it would dwell for about 30 seconds after the timer ran out and then it popped up that he had pushed all in so i snap called in case the 30 seconds or so was eating into my time.

Phantom thanks for the link, the bet the pot script wouldnt work for me either so ill give that one a try

btw if your saving the file while viewing it in Internet Explorer it wont save or work properly, copy it to notepad and then save it with the .ahk extension

The same thing happened to me , except I didn't get the pot... froze for a minutes than all money returned to both payers... and I was all in on the river....


go no help from support... they said the hand never happened ... sent them screen shots of it from my history but all emails were ignored....


so I have gone from a green room player to only playing the odd game on there... i hope the €63 was worth it for them....

must be a network wide problem... I see them complaining about the problem in the chat boxes... has happened many more times since... but unfortunatey I didn't get the pots..... (mainly because i had nothing)

edit: lol at one guy who says it's a new feature to make the game more exciting :rolleyes:

my guess is it happens when your opponent calls the allin and exits the table immediately (it's like they know there gonna loose but feel compelled to call and hide!!) - the software prob say "hey wft!! where's yerman gone?" - goes looking for him etc)

i won't tell you how i guessed this!!

I probably missed this somewhere but is there any particular reason why a lot of the posters here play on these sites. Never heard of most of them until I started posting here.

Most of the posters here used to play on an old network called the Tribeca network.
This network provided some of the biggest amount of donkeys i have ever seen. When i say this network was full of fish it really is hard to imagine just how awful the players on this site used to be. I have never played on a site with anything close to the amount of bad players and doubt i ever will again.

The software that this network used was discontinuted when most of the Tribeca sites joined the Ipoker network. So naturally most of the players just moved with the site to the new networks.

Ok thanks. Are the ipoker sites as fishy as the tribeca ones were or are there better places now. I play on party but heard pacific and everest also have huge numbers of donkeys.

used to play on everest... now on i-poker.... for rakeback reasons and since everest sponsored the sweedish open or something it filled up with scandies that were 3 and 4 bet happy
