i don't want to risk opening my neteller a/c while here in vegas for fear they'll close it right away like they have done in the past when i have visited other countries..
anybody know if there's much hassle getting access to the accounts while abroad? what's the procedure?

I think if you ring them up and tell them your are abroad they can disable it for you.

I have had many issues with accessing my neteller account from countries other than the one where it was set up. In the end the answer is this: 'If you wish to access your account from countries other than your home country, then neteller is not a service that caters for you.' End of story.
They instantly 'close' any account that is acessed from an IP address NOT in the home country, and you can only open it again FROM your home country.
They used to be able to disable the IP check, and told me they would...but then they had the issue with the US govt. laws and do not deal with anyone originating from a US IP address, regardless if you are actually LOCATED in the US or not....
No neteller from Vegas, end of story. You COULD get someone else you trust to put cash onto your ATM card, and you will be able to use that to withdraw funds, but you cannot access the neteller account itself from abroad.
