    how's everyone,
I'm in the process of researching for a new bike.
I've more or less made my mind up on the giant FCR 1, just from reading up on it. My local bike shop can get me one, but doesn't have one in stock.
Can anyone confirm that a silver model will look like this one below, or is this for another market? Any help is appreciated.

    go to http://www.winstanleysbikes.co.uk
    and type in fcr
you will get 3 different ones! 2 different 2007 ones. And I imagine they are far cheaper than the shop in town. 33% off the 06 model.

The photo linked above is the Japanese version. The local one will look like this:

There must be a market for flat bar TT bikes in Japan. Check out the FCR Composite!

Imagine is the right word there.

The FCR 1 2007 comes in 2 versions, the regular version and a "spring" edition. These are quite different bikes, amongst other differences one is a compact double, the other is a triple.

    thanks for your help folks,
would ye recommend this bike generally.
I'll basically be using it for fitness, probably cycling circa 20 miles an evening.
Is it a fast relliable bike? Or would you recommend any-thing else

I have an FCR3 I use for commuting and occasional touring. I highly recommend it. It's much faster than my previous, mountain bike-style hybrid and plenty lighter too.

Well Giant have a decent reputation, so it will be reliable. But if you are just using the bike for training, you'll go faster on a road bike and you'd get a pretty decent one for the same price as the FCR1.

Yea I'd imagine that, I've had road bikes in the past, I've I get my fitness up, i'd like to have the option of touring or even triathlons, which is why I was cinsidering the fcr 1 as a good all rounder.
