Has anyone stayed in the university accommodation in London during summer? Specifically, I was thinking about London School of Economics apartments for a few days. They are cheap, but I am wondering if they are any good. Any experience???

Haven't stayed there, but have elsewhere - depending on the Uni they can be from hostel-with-private-rooms affairs to fairly swanky (for which you'll pay more).

For a few days though, they're an affordable option.

Yes, I have stayed in a couple of LSE halls and a City University one too, for up to two weeks at a time. I'm satisfied with them. You get a bed in a private room for a good price in a central location. The decor can be a bit old and faded but the rooms are clean and there is a self-service laundry. Private toilet too, if you pay for it. No TV.
