I have Sky Digital downstairs and i'm gonna get one of them wireless receivers so i can watch Sky in other rooms, is there a video/graphics card i can get that will let me plug in that wireless receiver and get Sky on my PC?

And is it easy to record stuff once thats all set up?

    Thanks

I don't know a huge amount about this but I have a similar set up with windows media on the PC upstairs, I just plugged it in and it worked! Don't know how but it's great.

I think all you really need is a suitable receiver in your PC and some software.

I don't know how much windows media costs but it works great for me.

    Richie.

If you're going the Windows Media Centre route, I'd recommend a direct connection to the receiver.

You could have a wireless relay to upstair alright. Instead of connecting it to a TV, however, you could connect it to a capture using three cables: composite video [yellow] and stereo audio [white and red]. If the wireless receiver upstairs is able to send commands to the digibox using a spare Sky remote, it could be manageable.

Again, I think you'd be better with a direct connection. Composite video isn't great. If you have one of the more modern boxes with s-video output, that would be better. You could use an RGB output [much better than composite] if the computer was near the digibox.

Another reason to locate the PC near the digibox would be so that an IR blaster connected to your PC could be used by Windows Media Centre to change the channel on the digibox to record scheduled programmes.

wireless receiver should be fine, however thery are generally scart passtrhough devices so at the mce end youll need another scart passthrough with composite outputs.

the wireless device will need to be capable of passing back the remote commands from the mce irblaster.
be prepared for slight delays in changing channels (mce delay + wireless device delay)
