Cork to Madrid on Aer Lingus

Hi all, Does anyone know why the Cork to Madrid Aer Lingus flight is ending at the end of August? Up to a few weeks ago the timetable and booking page said the flight would operate until Oct 26th. I have to go to Madrid in early Sept and had to book Ryanair from Shannon instead.........mind you I did find a flight for 2…

Hi all,

Does anyone know why the Cork to Madrid Aer Lingus flight is ending at the end of August? Up to a few weeks ago the timetable and booking page said the flight would operate until Oct 26th. I have to go to Madrid in early Sept and had to book Ryanair from Shannon instead.........mind you I did find a flight for 2 cent return + taxes and charges so its not so bad after all. I would still prefer the direct flight from Cork though.
