I am looking to get started in BMXing. But I dont quite know where to start. I have a bike. But its not what ye who actualy BMX would call a good bike
bmx-KT40.jpg in chrome to be precise.
I would class it as more of an off road bike as its has a thick frame and thick wheels.
I was wondering if this would be any good to start off on? It is quite heavy and I am currently getting the gears changed and the chain shortened (skipping links)
If not where can I get good BMX bikes at the lowest price I can go?
How much would I be looking at for a new bike? I dont mind building it:)

    Thanks

    In a word:no.
As regards a new bike go check out your local bike shops and see what they have.Dont spend more than 250-300 on your first bike.Pm rebelbmx if you want advice. He seems to know a lot about bmx.

How much do you want to spend on a bmx? There are a few Irish mailorder websites like www.theboardroom.ie or www.wreckless.ie which have a nice selection of complete bmxs or else you could order in from the UK or America.

the wethepeople nova looks like the cheapest (euro290) decent bike to be bougth. If you were thinking of spending less than that its worth saving that little bit extra to avoid buying a bike like that in the picture. it also depends o how tall you are. the nova only has a 19.5" tobtube which to small for most fully grown men. to give you an idea, im quite small (5foot 6inches) and I have found 20.5" to be the perfect length tobtube for me
