Ok so I remember someone telling me a few years ago that whoever played Dustin was quite famous and that if you knew you'd never see Dustin the same way again. In those days, for some very odd reason, I valued Dustin as a person and didn't want to know.

Now that I hate him, I want to know. Can't find out anywhere on the internet. So who voices/acts/whatever Dustin the Vulture/Turkey/Puppet/National Treasure?

On a somehwat related note, I know an engineering student whose first name is Dustin. He predated Dustin the turkey, but still gets terrible abuse:)

Ciaran Morrison and Mick O'Hara are the lads who did both Zig and Zag and Podge and Rodge. And while I can't provide a source or anything, I have heard that Dustin is done by Morrison's cousin. So I suppose just find out if he has any famous cousins.

His mother was probably a fan of Dustin Hoffman, and it was probably a cool name to call him then. Like somebody calling their child Britney, or Apple...

Hmmm...

I'm related to Joe Dolan in some obscure way, and he and my family ended up at a funeral in Mullingar for some equally obscure dead relative. Anyway afterwards everyone ended up back in Mr Dolan's pub, this was not too long after he released that god-awful version of 'Good Looking Woman' with Dustin.

Anyway, my sister and I asked him about the person behind Dustin. It was anti climatic, there isn't really anyone behind Dustin but a puppeteer/voice actor who certainly isn't famous in his own right... unless that's changed since then. Or Joe Dolan lied to me

I read in the Irish Times or the Phoenix once that the guys that play Dustin, Socky, and either Zig or Zag are all brothers. I'm pretty sure that Dustin or Socky was pictured with that guy that replaced Damien McCaul in a newspaper once as well although they just identified him as a member of the staff. Afraid thats all I know.

There was an article about the guy who plays Dustin in a Sunday newspaper some years ago. I can't remember anything about him except that he was middle-aged and quite wealthy from various media gigs.
