Resizing Images Problem

Ok i have around 75 pics from when i was in Athens and they are all still on my camera and also copied to my Computer and in a folder in My Pictures.

I have Corel Photo Album 6 to.

When i click on a photo and say its original dimensions are 712*534 i would then resize it to 25%.
Then when i go to resize it back to its original size 712*534 - the image is so blurry.

    Why is this happening ?

    Cheers

Why are you resizing it to 25% and back again ?!? That'd explain the blurriness anyway !

I would resize it to 25% if i wanted to put it in an email and change it back to the original size for when i want it to be that size in My Pictures when i want to scroll through them in the bigger size during a fimstrip view

When you resize an image to a smaller size, it throws away all the pixel data it doesn't need. That's why the file size will also be much smaller. If you try and resize it to a larger image, it will look blurry because you no longer have enough data in the file to display properly at a larger size.

When you resize, save as a new file for email instead of overwriting your original. That should solve the problem...

If you want small versions of the pictures for emails etc., then resize them and save them either in another folder, or in the same folder under a different name, and don't overwrite the originals! You can't just resize them backwards and forwards like that and expect the quality to remain the same, that isn't how it works.

I use a program called PIXresizer which is available from http://bluefive.pair.com/updates.htm.

I have found it very useful.
