    Guys,

Where yee think is the best place to buy RAM for a Macbook?

I have a 2.0 GHz Intel Core Duo macbook with standard black spec. It has 1GB but would like to add another GB. So that means I'd need to buy 2 x 1GB RAM modules....

Online shop preferable. As cheap as possible....

    Cheers,

    John.

Try the local boys ( based in Celbridge )

    http://www.shop4memory.com/

    Or try komplett ,

    http://www.komplett.ie/k/kc.aspx?bn=10232

The " Crucial " memory finder is available on the komplett site so that you can find the exact modules you'll need.

I was just reading about MacBook ram the other day, it' possible to go to 3GB ram! See this article here and prices here. Mind you, you'd get done for VAT from this supplier and the couriers aren't cheap. Might be worth seeing if you can get similar from Crucial.

Most people don't need 3Gb of RAM, though.
On that note, are the early (CoreDuo) Macbooks limited to 2 or 3Gb of RAM by the chipset?
