For the Sims it should be fine.

Just be sure your are using recent drivers and not playing the game at a very high resolution like 1600x1200 etc.

I had one before, it's an OK card for basic users that play either the very odd game or older games. I ran Battlefield 2 and Company of Heroes on it fairly well at medium-ish settings, so I'd say you'd be definitely ok playing the Sims 2, especially given its a game where a high FPS is not exactly necessary.

Cheers havok, Thats what I need to know! How it ran other games and the sims is not anything near as hungry as bf2 and CoH :)
