screwed up a file somehow

    see attached pic. Quicktime .MOV file, managed to change the "type" to mpeg, and although it still plays fine in quicktime, I cant change the "type" back to .mov :( tried renaming the file, but then it reads file.mpg.mov.


    Any help?

    I don't know how to do it in Vista's fancy new interface but press the Alt key, then choose Tools > Folder Options from the menu bar. Click the View tab and turn off the option specifying "Hide file extensions for known file types." That will unhide the .mpg extension and allow you to change it.
