    Hi
Just got involved both gaa and soccer coaching for boys this year and would welcome any suggestions regarding good drills to keep them busy !
Attention span seems to be the problem at this age - also advice welcome regarding how to establish discipline when you have the odd young lad spitting, tripping, cursing or general messing ??

Under 8s? they won't be that bad!

    look up the http://www.dublingaagamesdevelopment.ie/resources/footballdrills.php

a lot of the drills there are suitable - basic ones!
a lot of time spent on developing kicking technique, confidence in catching the ball in chest and overhead, running with the ball, running to meet the ball etc. Just basic skills.

Then lots of games with kicking only. play small pitches (mark goals with training poles) with no goalies so that they are encouraged to kick for a score. divide pitch into two/three zones so that the forwards and backs cannot move out of their zone - stops them all running after the ball!
