Hi , I have got a tiny, AND i mean tiny amount of moiney to run a advertiseing campaigne.
I am thinking of radio or RTE or TV3.
As we are a support group, I dont hink they SHOULD charge us to much.We give help and advice to adultswith ADD/ADHD and to parents of children with add/adhd for free.We never , ever charge for anything.
    Anyway,
    I need a few ideas.
my borhter , bless said that a radio add with a little song is good.I just want a few thoughts on it.
What radio station is the one to use.I would like a national on.For all over Dublin?
    thanks,
    cathy

Most radio stations have set rates and give extra additional airtime to charities.

You'll have to pay alot more for advertising on a national radio station than for a regional station, and then a charge for actually making the add itself.

As for what station to use it entirely depends on the audience you are looking to target.

Have you a particular fundraising event coming up which could be highlighted by the add??

Well I know my radio station, NEAR 90fm, has run free spots for not-for-profit and charitable organisations in the past.

It could be worth your while getting in touch with Craol as the stations themselves are not-for-profit community development projects.

If you're talking about adding a song, then you'd be talking big bucks for clearance fees.

As stated in the above post, think about your target audience. If you offer a service nationwide, a national station might be worth it, but otherwise you're probably better off with one (or more) of the Dublin stations.

Yes, there's always the question of people in a locality that listen to one of the national stations more than their local (e.g. you'd probably get me via an ad on Today FM before the local station here), but the cost of the ad will reflect an awful lot of people to whom the ad won't be relevant, but you would be charged for them, even though they're irrelevant to you.
