One thing i hate is when your playing a shortie who has about $15. You know the sort, some play a little tighter, some play loose and see many flops but they dont last more than 50 or so hands because they either bust and leave or double up and then bust and leave. Should i always be looking to get the majority of the money in preflop because the flop is so hard to play as theyll do anything from min raise to open push with alot of hands from 43o to AA. I dont feel comfortable playing hit or miss flop but i think i may be losing money. Heres a typical hand:

    Starting a new hand (#590067734)
    Texas Holdem NL $0.25/$0.50 - 2007-07-02 13:22:05 Server
    Table Pilate (Beginner)
    Seat 1: cosmin1 ( $15.70 )
    Seat 3: Regele1 ( $90.42 )
    Seat 5: YestemZiebeasta ( $50.05 )
    Seat 6: likelylad87 ( $101.45 )
    Seat 8: TackleB ( $63.62 )
    TackleB posts Small Blind $0.25
    cosmin1 posts Big Blind $0.50
    Dealing cards
    Your cards As Kc [YestemZiebeasta]
    Regele1 folds
    YestemZiebeasta raises $2
    likelylad87 folds
    TackleB folds
    cosmin1 raises $6
    YestemZiebeasta raises $20
    cosmin1 goes All-in $9.20

Now the result is irrelevant and this hand was a bit easier when he RR me, ive seen this done with AA and ive seen this done with muck like 56s,k7 trash and so on. Alot of times if a shortie raises me and i have AK-AJ ill repop it to about half their stack which will put them in push or fold mode, is this the right line to be taking, damn these shortstacks

I find this is very player specific. You'll have some who'll push anything just because they love to bluff, and others who wait for a half decent hand. Unfortunately they usually don't hang around long enough for useful stats. Against an unknown pusher I'll usually fold marginal holdings like A-J, A-10, K-Q, 77, 88 until I get a read. Once I know what they're doing it becomes easier, take notes in case you encounter them again.

As long as they don't rathole it off calling is probably win-win anyway.
