I know where there's a Rapid Coupe (their words, not mine
lying in a garden in Galway............or was until very recently at any rate (haven't checked)
In the 80's they were very well respected in Rallying, and won the equivalent of the Grp N for yonks in a row. I remember the 'factory team' came to the Galway Rally - They had a converted old bus - like the Duple ones - where they cut the back glass and boot lid out, put in a ramp, and drove either 2 or 3 cars up into.
The crew, drivers etc, all ate, slept and travelled in the bus with the cars.
By gum, those were the days !
There was aslo a Skoda dealer near Knock for years, so I'd say if you look over the walls in Co Mayo you'll find a few too.........Ode To The Motorist
