Was passing through Stansted last weekend. The Duty free shop to the left of the security scanners has a whiskey shop attached.

Was mooching around having a look, great selection, tasting samples etc. was sick as a dog so wasn't able to partake. Was wondering idly how much the most expensive bottle would be, i was up to about £100, when I wandered over to the till. There was a cabinet to the side with a selection of bottles inside.

Took a look, 'boy this is more like it I thought', £2000, £2750 etc.and in the middle the daddy bottle, some rare Scottish malt with a handwritten label. a snip, sir, at £6000:D , you'd hate to tip that against the side of the plane as you were boarding.

BTW Midleton was £69 a bottle, £10 dearer than Luton on the way over.

If you're passing through it's worth a gawk.
