Just 3 months before we'll be playing an english version of Zelda on the DS! (For importers, anyway).

No mention of Euro version (although knowing NoE, it'll be October...... 2008).

As it is going down the art style of wind waker I think it is going to be crap just like windwaker but good news if your a fan.

Windwaker is probably one of the most beautiful games ever made. It was also superb. The only problems were that annoying fetch quest and the fact that it was a lot shorter than most zeldas (but longer than most games).

I honestly don't understand the really strong anti Wind Waker sentiment. As Retr0 said. it was a spectacular looking game - amongst the best of the last gen. Any doubts I had about the graphics were destroyed when I saw it in action. And the gameplay did something different with the Zelda formula, admirably on the developers part. Both Wind Waker and Twilight Princess are amazing games, but they are different experiences. True, the sailing for Triforces segment was a bit forced, but name one game that is perfect. Wind Waker was an experiment, and at least 90% successful IMO. I also credit the game as getting me back into gaming as a hobby, so therefore I do hold a bit of a soft spot for it.

I for one cannot wait for Phantom Hourglass. It will be great to revisit that world, one that was a refreshing break from the traditional Hyrule overworld.

Here here. Wind Waker was vibrant and stuffed with character, not just because of the art style (which is excellent) or the music (which is also excellent), but because there was so much going on above ground, outside the usual Zelda dungeons and trading.

Twilight Princess didn't do as much for me as it might have. It was plainly expertly crafted, with so much to say in its favour, but it stuck so doggedly to the basic Zelda template that it just didn't rouse that much excitement or wonder. Another experimental Zelda is exactly what I'm looking for.

Wind waker is probably one of the best looking games i have ever seen, anyone who says otherwise should give their eyes back. They are clearly not using them properly.

And i'm really looking forward to this, you'll have to pry the DS outta my cold, dead hands once i get this.

Okay okay I'll admit windwaker did have its moments of being good but I prefered twilight princess because in any zelda game I hate be kid like rather than adult link I just don't know what it is
But as Johnny Ultimate said I thought the triforce bit in windwaker was terribly forced and very boring the only think I think about wind waker that was good was probably the wind waker spells.....

The thing is the only criticism that seems to be used against the Wind Waker is the Triforce bit. But overall, its a small part of the game, and really isnt even THAT bad. The developers have publically apologised for it, claiming it only existed to add some length to the game. You have to look past this small part of the game, and just appreciated the large game world for the varied, interesting and exciting creation that it is, along with the terrific gameplay.

Right take this with a pinch of salt since it is not offically anounced but I was listening to Scoop on ign.com and the guys had played the Jap version they said not to import it because of the laungage. Instead wait for the Europe version which will be out before the US version. Check it out yourselves

With any luck we'll get it before the States (I know, I know, but it happened before, maybe they'll make that tradition for handheld Zeldas ;) )

Only about 3 Zelda games allow you to play as an adult. AoL, OoT and TP. :s

Great, now I have to buy a bloody DS... wait for it... GREAT, NOW I HAVE TO BUY A DS!

I remember playing Windwaker, getting stuck at the very, very start and then giving up. I'm gonna start it again though after I finish TP!
