is there any way of using the hpi check system in England to find out the last recorded mileage of a car imported to Ireland?

I'm only concerned about the mileage

    Yes. A HPI check.

Yes, run an HPI check and input the currently displayed mileage. If the car has ever been logged in the UK as having had higher mileage (ie at a previous MOT test) then this will show up as a mileage discrepancy. You will, however, have to pay for the full check.
