Painkiller Jane is basically Heroes from another angle.

if ye aint seen it allready, i strongly reccomend renting out 24 season 1 from extravision and locking yourself in a room with a dvd player/tv for a day or two :D
also, try renting battlestar galactica, and arrested development

How I met your mother is quite good, s'my other addiction. In fact one might even go so far as to say that it's Legen - wait for it - dary.

If it is just shows in general. Dexter. By far the best this year.

Dexter is brilliant. Are they making a second series?

Also I'd recommend House MD - Hugh Laurie is brilliant in it.
And The Sopranos if you haven't watched it before.

I stole 2 seasons of Prison Break from a french guy in my apt building of the local net - got through a couple episodes; it doesnt seem too bad.

24 is good stuff though: I think my favorite was Season 2. When season 6 hits DVD i'll hit that up too though.

BSG is good but season 3.5 is where it starts to dip.

If you're looking for a best fit replacement for your Heroes gap - I reccomend 24: All that suspense and intrigue (though none of the humour)

I'm watching Dexter too, great stuff. To keep the Heroes buzz going, I've been watching ads for the NISSAN VERSA.

try out the 90s cartoon ''Batman:The Animated Series'', i feel it and Heroes share alot of similaritys

If you want another show about people developing powers, for some greater (unknown) reason, then there's "The 4400" to catch.

Would really recommend Firefly if you haven't seen it.

Still my favorite above Heroes  I know what I said!

    Eureka - http://www.tv.com/eureka/show/58448/summary.html?q=&tag=search_results;title;1

Starts in 4 days in the states, certainly worth a watch, it was known as A Town Called Eureka when Sky One aired it,

Stargate Atlantis Season 4 starts on the 28/09/2007 also :)

You havnt said if you have seen Battle Star Galactica, if not stick it to the top of your list. It rocks, the only downside is that friends are going to start wondering why they dont see you so much anymore and what the hell does frack me.

I'd suggest Supernatural to anyone who hasn't watched it yet. The banter between the two main characters is great and the storylines are usually very good.

Yep just watched the first two episodes of Dexter as well and its very good (in a sick sort of way).

Getting my hands on the other 10 eps now ;)

Dexter is definitely the best thing on at the moment. I saw the first 2 episodes of season 2 today and so far it's looking as good as the first season.

Now I have to wait until September to see the rest though...:(

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,905 ✭✭✭User45701

first 2 eh? EDIT: there they are.

i didnt know they where out i heard about the first 2 being out early last year as well and last year 4 weeds where out early 2. is this people risking there jobs just to put a pre-air on the net, someone i know insists its marketing tactics to get early feedback from dedicated online forums

doesn't really need to be said, but another nod for Dexter. Also, Jericho is a decent watch if you haven't already seen it.

I'm also presently rewatching the X-Files. I'm also giving American Dad a shot, after dismissing it at first i'm starting to really get into it.

Oh, and watch fonejacker on E4 tonight. Funniest show i've seen in a long time :D

I've been watching Burn Notice since it started as well. I was nearly turned off it by one of the worst Oirish accents from the I've ever heard from the female IRA gunrunner. But thankfully they made their excuses and got rid of it by the second episode. She's still annoying though.

But luckily they make up for this by having Bruce Campbell in it!

ive started getting the x-files dvds, the first few seasons are frakking A

dexter is properbly the best new show of this year after heroes, well worth a watch
