Here are a few from saturday, i missed most of the action and the guys finished up just after i got there but i managed to get a few shots off. I would have preferred to get some shots were two people were in action but what the hey..

Full set is on my site and my flickr...as usual comments of any nature are most welcomed..

first one is great. Very colourful, sharp and very nicely processed. Looks like you had great light for it.

Some great shots, what did you use?

Thanks Rymus, yeah the light was great for colour - so often around there its a nightmare. You get something interesting happening but then its too dull, too much shade, too bright (rarely). I like the first one myself, it was good to get the arch in so people can recognise the location.

Borderfox - i used the 24-70 for these, great for walkaround..

I mirror Rymus's comments, cracking shot indeed. Imagine what you would have had too if you did get there earlier.

Also, +1 on the argument to get a 5D :D

its the canon alright, thought long and hard about it (a few hours anyway) and i invested in order to save my back...i was planning on luggin all my gear (body, lenses + laptop and accessories) around thailand with me in sept as i had no good mid range and am constantly changing lenses..instead though i am just heading with this bad boy in a top loader zoom, a compact g7 and the nextodi ultra (+ a separate 2.5" external hard-drive) for back up. Best decision I ever made (after getting an slr in the first place)..now just looking forward to not traipsing with all that gear and getting it shipped to oz instead :)
