curious as to what other players would do here/would have done different in the following hand..

as of yet no reads on players, just moved tables in an MTT

    effective stacks

    KingKong28: 1685 [Cut Off]
    Weak_Loose: 4941 [Button]
    Hero: 10325 [Big Blind]

    Blinds 100-200 PS MTT

    Dealt to Hero [8c Td]
    Droman_888: folds
    BrickedSlick: folds
    rday76: folds
    jtchipfam: folds
    KingKong28: calls 200
    Weak_Loose: calls 200
    mfox50: folds
    Hero: checks
    *** FLOP *** [Tc 9h 7c]
    Hero: bets 600
    KingKong28: raises 885 to 1485 and is all-in
    Weak_Loose: calls 1485

There's now 4270 in the pot, it's 885 to call and you have Weak_Loose's remainding 3256 covered.

    1. smooth call and check it down, fold if some draw hits that the cut-off bets.
    2. smooth call and straight push a blank on the turn
    3. fold, you're probably beat. the cut-off smooth call is quite scary.
    4. Re-Raise isolate the short stack. Push the cut-off off the pot(most likely has a draw-?) even if you're behind to the short stack you could have quite a few outs unless he's got J-8.

is there an argument for each of these cases? appreciate any comments.

Call and check down. IF it's near the bubble, I'd push - if I think Donk2 can lay it down (prolly can't).

well i did re-raise, and the cut off actually folded. Said in the chat box he actually did fold a flush draw(which would have hit) button player actually had aces, but I hit a 6 on the river to take the pot.

Would other players have checked this flop? i usually always bet out a flop like this in an unraised pot.

no i think its correct to try to take it heads up with the Shorty, take the dead money from the pot and punish kong for being so passive, if he has anything there he has to make some sort of shapes before now, unless he has the straight with diamond redraw he shouldnt have played it like that, as he is giving infinite odds to be outdrawn. raise as is most likely weak. you also have enough equity in the current pot and chips behind if you are behind.
