    Hey,

Can anyone recommend a make and model of laptop with a built-in GPS system. I've seen the GD Itronix XR-1 on the their site but it's OTT for what I need it for so looking for other options. Any ideas or experiences?

    Thanks

Hi there , They are few and far between at the moment , I think if you buy a laptop with GPS built in you will pay an arm and a leg just to have the title on your laptop it will work out cheaper at the moment to just buy a Bluetooth GPS receiver device and set it up with some separate mapping software and it will work just as good if not better and half the price .

thanks for that. i thought as much! i've come across the Mighty GPS PCMCIA card receiver with WAAS and the EU equivalent (EG...?). any idea is this type a good buy or are the USB cabled recievers more adaptable (ie being able to wave the thing around to get a better acquisition!)
